Stella Dahl

Stella Dahl, 83, Mandan, died Aug. 12, 2006, at her home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Charles Axness officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.

Stella Grace Edinger was born Feb. 9, 1923, in New Rockford, the daughter of Chris and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Lutz) Edinger. She lived in New Rockford with her parents until 1932, when they moved to Wahpeton. Stella and her parents moved back to New Rockford in 1939. She worked for Eddy County until her retirement. On May 18, 1973, Stella was united in marriage to Ingolf Dahl, of Mandan. They made their home in New Rockford and later moved to Mandan.

Stella was an avid bowler and enjoyed this pastime until well into her senior years. She also enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians, and all the high school tournaments on TV.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Gladys Guler, New Rockford, Sharon (Dennis) Olson, Breckenridge, Minn., Judy Hunt and LaRae (Tim) Palmer, all of Fargo, Glenn (Shirley) Upham, Phyllis Kupper and Leland Upham, all of Mandan, Shirley Kittler, Bellevue, Wash., and Stan (Janice) Upham, Thief River Falls, Minn.; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Herr and Mildred Brown; and one brother, Lawrence Edinger. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)
