Vera Baron Obituary

Vera M. Baron, 70, passed away Jan. 30, 2010, at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, Wash. A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Riverside Memorial Park, Spokane, Wash.

She was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Wilton, to Roman and Anna Shoman. She graduated from Wilton High School in 1957. She worked for the Grand Pacific Hotel in Bismarck where she met her husband, Art Baron. They were married in 1968 in Spokane. She worked for Addus Health Care in Spokane until she retired in 2006. She had recently resided at the Lilac Plaza and enjoyed all her friends and activities there. Vera was a member of the Spokane Moose and VFW organizations.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Baron) Daley and her husband, Tony; her stepdaughters, Susan (Baron) Lee, Kendall Park, N.J., and Sandra (Baron) Ruffin and her husband, Beau, Kendall Park; her grandchildren, Casey Lee, Jermaine, Sharalynn and Bowdy Ruffin; 13 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Harry Shoman and his wife, Harriette, Yuma, Ariz., Nick Shoman and his wife, Jeanne, Moses Lake, Wash., and Donald Shoman and his wife Ruby, Orting, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art in 2006; her stepson, Danny Baron in 1996; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. (Hertage Funeral Home, Spokane)
