Preston Freeman Obituary
WILMINGTON — Preston Sean Freeman, 25, of Gibsonville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was a diesel mechanic and the owner of Prospect Diesel and Performance. He loved being a mechanic, working on trucks, racing, hunting, fishing, and boating.
He is survived by his daughter, Carleigh Freeman, and her mother, Samantha Byrd; mother, Dawn Lane; father, Ricky and Vanessa Freeman; siblings, Jordan Mays, Mikaley Lane, Ricky Freeman, Jr., Jamie Prince and D.J. Prince; grandparents, George "Cowboy" and Wanda Freeman, Barbara Pattishall and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Wilton "Pat" and Patsy Pattishall.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Thad Stovall. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carleigh Freeman Trust Fund, 700 Apple St., Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.

I was Preston's Pre-K Teacher and I can honestly say that he was a joy to have in my classroom. I miss that amazing smile that lit up the classroom. Dawn I am still sending you hugs and prayers as well as his children and the rest of the family. Continue to RIP SWEET ANGEL!!!!!

Preston worked for us at the YMCA and we are so sorry to hear of his passing. His smile will always be remembered by not only the kids he touched while working here, but the staff as well.
