Loenna Warren

1920 - 2017

Loenna Marie Schroader Warren, age 96 of Columbus, died Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 at Laurel Woods Assisted Living. She was born August 9th, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky; a daughter of the late Andy Schroader and Clara Eugenia Spire Schroader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Irvin Schroader.
Loenna and her family moved to Dana in the 1930's to open Schroader Chicken Hatchery and Farm. She went on to become a Registered Nurse and worked at Patton Memorial Hospital and served as the evening supervisor of the Emergency Room at Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital. In 1964 she accepted the position of Post Master in Dana and worked there until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Warren of Douglasville, GA; one brother, Leonard Schroader and wife, Catherine of Flat Rock; one sister, June Peterson of Clearlake, CA; and six nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Bobby, Terry and Vickie Schroader, Susan Suchon and Ronnie McDaniel; and by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Loenna's memory may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
