Ann Gallagher Obituary

Entered Heaven on June 2, 2021, leaving a bevy of friends and family members who will never forget her vivacious personality, intellectual curiosity, love of reading and willingness to listen with kindness and understanding.

Ann and her husband Richard have had a home in Boca Grande for thirty-five years. Ann was a member of the Women's Club and, with her husband Richard, the Coral Creek Club.

Ann was born on July 3, 1948 in Rock Island Illinois but spent most of her life in Milwaukee.

After graduating from University School of Milwaukee, she received a BA in Art History at Bucknell University and an MA in Special Education at Cardinal Stritch University. She was an avid reader and served on many library, theatre and social service boards in Milwaukee.

God blessed Ann and Richard with two amazing daughters, Elizabeth (Christopher) Gallagher Petree of Chapel Hill NC and Catherine (Jonathan) Gallagher Brown of Chicago IL, and four wonderful grandchildren, Olivia and Henry Richard Petree and Teddy and Hannah Brown.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in Milwaukee. Gifts in Ann's name to Our Lady of Mercy Church in Boca Grande would be appreciated instead of flowers.
