Alyssa Ramey Obituary
Alyssa Renee Ramey, 26, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away alongside her beloved Australian Shepherd, Callie, on Monday, April 29, 2024, as a result of a car accident. She was born Dec. 30, 1997, in Springfield, Missouri, to Aaron and Kimberly (Miller) Ramey. Alyssa graduated from Chesterton High School in 2016 and followed her passion for animals to become a Kennel Assistant at Stoney Run Canine Camp in Hebron, and to own and operate her pet supply business, Pawsibly Pampered.
Alyssa was passionate about her work and her company, Pawsibly Pampered, as well as her family and friends. She was amazing with all animals, especially dogs. She could be considered a "dog whisperer" because she had the ability to understand and comfort each and every dog she cared for. Alyssa was incredibly talented with her vision of her company. Her collars, harnesses, scarves, and dog seat belts have been sold across the nation and brought joy and happiness to dog owners everywhere. Her sidekick and love of her life was Callie, her Australian Shepherd, who was with her until the end and has joined her in our Lord's great kingdom. Alyssa was an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter. She brought so much happiness to the lives of everyone she encountered. Her ability to light up a room made her even more beautiful than she already was. Alyssa was compassionate and straightforward to a fault. She held nothing back and always spoke straight from the heart. Alyssa definitely left her mark on the world and on everyone who knew her. She was loved by so many, and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten, and will remain in our hearts forever. Selfish as we are, we understand our Lord had plans for Alyssa that were more important than ours. We take comfort that she is with her girl, Callie, and all her loved ones that are already in His kingdom.
Alyssa is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kimberly and Glen Stanley of Valparaiso, Indiana; father and stepmother, Aaron and Sara Ramey of Bokeelia, Florida; siblings, Aliyah, Clayton, Olivia, and Izzy; stepsiblings, Dane, Riley, and Natalie; and many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Rich Valentine, and her granny, Sherryl Ramey.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, Indiana, with a funeral service beginning at 6 p.m., Pastor Denny Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeshore Paws.
