Glen Copeland Obituary

Glen Dale Copeland, son of Olen and Bertha Copeland, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025. He was born Sept. 18, 1951, at Springfield Osteopathic, and was a lifelong resident of Bolivar. Glen grew up regularly attending Barren Creek Cumberland Presbyterian church with his parents, brothers, and sister and was saved and baptized as a young teenager. He maintained a strong faith throughout his life. He married Delilah "Dee" about 1980, though they later divorced.
Glen graduated from Bolivar High School and set some outstanding Liberator football and track records. He also played in the local summer baseball league from age 9-15 with his brothers and friends. He continued for many years playing on adult softball teams. As a math standout in high school, he then attended Bolivar Southwest Baptist College. He worked in grocery, Teters, convenience store management, and the Bolivar school system.
Glen went to be with the Lord after a few months of developing poor circulation and then sudden congestive heart failure. He will be sorely missed by the many lives that he touched with his generosity, help, and unique offbeat humor. He leaves to mourn his departure his many friends, and brothers Billy and wife Carol, and Jim and wife Venetia, sister Gayla and husband Alan, the many nieces and nephews, and the Underwood and Brown cousin families. Services will be at a later date.
