Linda Francka Obituary
In loving memory of Linda Lou Francka, born Dec. 30, 1942, and departed from this earth Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. We celebrate a life filled with joy, love, and selfless service. Raised on a dairy farm, Linda learned the value of hard work while enjoying a happy childhood alongside her parents and brother.
She later met and married the love of her life, John P. Francka, and together they built a beautiful life, sharing 68 wonderful years. Their family became the heart of Linda's world, bringing her immeasurable joy. She cherished her role as a mother to their three children, instilling in them a deep appreciation for love and family.
Linda's generosity extended far beyond her own home. As one of the founding members of Polk County Christian Social Ministries (PCCSM) in 1985, she dedicated 28 years to serving her community, working tirelessly to support those in need. Over the past 40 years, the ministry is believed to have touched the lives of nearly 100,000 people-just a glimpse of the countless individuals Linda helped, often quietly and without recognition. She worked with and kept other charities close including "Going to the Dogs" and Polk County Humane Society. Even in her final days, she continued to extend kindness to those around her.
Linda's giving was part of who she was, her favorite holiday was Christmas where her giving and love shined the brightest. During this time she shared with all around her, loved all around her, and celebrated God's gift giving, the gift of his son.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering generosity. She will be deeply missed by her beloved family and the many dear friends whose lives she enriched.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, John P. Francka; brother Ted Scott with his wife Sharon Scott, and their son, Bruce Scott with his wife Angela Scott; daughter Cindy L. Duncan; son John K.
