Travis Sutt Obituary

Travis Gail Sutt, son of Martin Luther and Rhoda Jane (Blackwell) Sutt passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 85.

As a young man, Travis was saved by the good Lord, he was saved early one morning while in the milk barn. At the time of his passing, he was a member at Little Niangua Missionary Baptist Church.

Travis was born two miles north of Wheatland, on June 1, 1939. After graduation from Wheatland High School in 1957, he worked on the farm with his father Martin. From there he moved to Kansas City and was later drafted into the Army in 1962. Travis met Connie Millsap in 1965, on April 2, 1966, the two were married. Travis and Connie raised three children, Susan, Eric, and Troy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Sutt; parents, Martin L. and Rhoda Jane (Blackwell) Sutt; two sisters, Mary Lea Foltz (Guy), and Wilma Jean Peterman (Robert). Travis is survived by his brother, Kennith Sutt (Sharon) of Blue Eye; children, Susan Ritter, Eric and Leisa Sutt, and Troy and Judi Sutt; six grandchildren, Ashley Ritter, Kimberlee and Wesley Hatfield, Colton Powell-Sutt, Zachary and Valory Sutt, Christopher Ritter and Tearra Crane, and Madison Sutt and fiance Hunter Jones; five great-grandchildren, Aubanie, Arabella, Amarissa, Brixton, and Everley and many nieces, nephews, friends, family, and church family.

Graveside services were Thursday, May 22, at Crutsinger Cemetery, Weaubleau, under the direction of Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home, Wheatland,.
