Rodney Bohmann Obituary

Rodney 'Gus' Bohmann, 74

Rodney "Gus" Bohmann was born on January 15, 1951, and passed away quietly April 22, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Gus was preceded in death by his parents, Russell P. Bohmann Sr. and Irene (Ciboci) Bohmann.

Gus will always be treasured by his siblings, sister Barbara A. Bohmann (David Fischer) of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and brothers Russell P. (Fritz) Bohmann Jr. of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Karl and Cheryl Bohmann of Sandpoint, Idaho. He is also remembered by his close friend Randy Riggens.

Gus and Karl were partners at Sayers Jewelers in Sandpoint for 20-plus years. Gus was a goldsmith and craftsman.

His personality showed in his love of the great outdoors. Camping, backpacking, fishing, hunting and horseback riding, which he shared with his brothers and friends.

Gus was quite the storyteller, with a twinkle in his eye and a Pabst in his hand.

Heartfelt thanks to Karl and Cheryl for the loving care they provided after moving him to Sandpoint four years ago due to health issues.

Gus was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Elks Lodge in Ponderay, Idaho, from 1-3 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to sign Gus' online guest book at coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
