Phillip Templemire
Boonville - Phillip Ray Templemire, 82, of Boonville passed away September 17, 2021, at his home in Boonville, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Lodge on Eleventh Street in Boonville, MO at 6:00pm September 23, 2021. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Phillip Ray Templemire was born September 1, 1939, the son of Edward Templemire and Ethel (Woolery) Templemire. Phillip attended school in New Lebanon and Pilot Grove. Phillip married the love of his life, Alice Mae (Lammers) Templemire on June 7, 1958, in Pilot Grove. He was in the Army from 1958 to 1962.
Phillip had many jobs through the years. He spent the majority of his years driving trucks and was employed by Quality Stone and Howard Construction for several years, driving a dump truck with a pup. He was employed with R T Construction where he worked with his son. In later years Phillip was employed at Rusk Rehab and MU in the facilities maintenance, where he made many friends. Phillip was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 40 years in Boonville, MO. He held the office of trustee bar manager, he also assisted in the upkeep and maintenance of the Eagles Lodge. Phillip was an active member of the Cooper County GOP. He was an excellent pool and snooker player, liked to play cards and visit with friends. His love of music led him to haul his drums around Missouri and play his drums in / and with many bands over the years. He also shared his vocal skills at many a dance. Phillip always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. His interests and collections were many. He had a way of making everyone feel as if they were his best friend.
Phillip was preceded in death by his loving wife Alice Mae Templemire, parents Edward and Ethel Templemire, brothers Edward Templemire Jr., John Earl Templemire (Shirley), sisters; Francis Witcig, and Agnes Bohon, and great-grandson Shane Ashpaugh. He is survived by his two sons Ronald (Susan) Templemire of Boonville, Richard (Marge) Templemire of Pilot Grove, sisters Deloris (Richard) Miller - Chesterfield, Doris Tousley - Independence, Dorothy Scott - Warrensburg, and Shirlee Pulliam - Pilot Grove, brothers in law Clarence Lammers and David (Nancy) Lammers, sisters-in-laws Dreda Templemire, Joan Lammers, Barbara Lammers, Jeanette Stegner and Thelma Kraus, grandchildren Aaron (Kalyn) Templemire, Adam (Brandy) Templemire, Ashley Templemire (Ella Decker), Callie Templemire, and Kenny Fredenburg, great grandchildren Jaxson Templemire, Jagger Templemire, Audriauna Sartain, Lucy Alice Templemire, Brandon Ashpaugh, Shelby Ashpaugh, Rilynn Henderson, Chase, Bella, Reece, Carter and Cash Fedenburg. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews and loving family members.
Phillip gave his greatest donation at the end of his life, in hopes of helping others. He was a cancer survivor of 20 years and chose several years ago to donate his body to the Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Missouri-Columbia.
