Marilyn Breznik Obituary

Marilyn Sue Breznik, 82, left her earthly home and entered into the arms of God, Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.

She was born October 26, 1941, in Odessa, Texas, to Byron and Jewell Locke. She married the love of her life, Thomas "Tommy" Breznik and they were married for 63 years.

Sue loved the Lord and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Sue always was serving others. She loved her family fiercely. She was known to the family as "Nana" and many knew how much her family meant to her. Sue also loved every animal she came in contact with and if possible she would have kept every stray animal she saw.

Her family shares that " she was the best teacher in how to love the Lord and the best mother that we could have asked for".

Preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas "Tommy" Wesley; her parents, and siblings: Charles Locke, Dorothy Whitney and Sarah Ledford.

Leaving behind to forever cherish her memory are a daughter, Kim Ketcherside and husband Keith of Meriden, Kansas; a son, Brent Breznik of Borger; grandchildren: Wesley Breznik and wife Ashley of Kearney, Missouri, Haylee Minard and husband Jared of Kearney, Missouri, Sam Ketcherside and wife Jenna of Valley Fall, Kansas and Shea Breznik of Kansas City, Missouri; great grandchildren: Keely, Tinley and Paxton Minard and Callie Ketcherside and many nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Fritch.
