Hi Nan, 7 years ago today Heaven welcomed its most precious Angel up. It’s raining today, it’s gloomy and damp, as you would say but I feel like it matches our hearts. Most of the time I think we, your family, can celebrate with joy in our hearts due to all the fond, loving and funny memories you left behind. But not today. Today I personally let myself miss you to the point of tears. I let myself feel the ache in my heart because it’s real and it’s love!!! So I’ll cry with the rain, but when it stops Savannah, Jackson and I will jump in the puddles while once again smiling with the precious memory of you! You may never have had the chance to meet them, but they know all about you. Thanks for guiding me everyday. I love you madly. Xoxoxo

Hi Nan,
I can't believe it's been 3 years since you had to go.... at the same time it feels like 20 years too long. To say I miss you doesn't seem like strong enough words. I can only imagine how Papa feels, and of course your 6 children. I say this only to let you know how much you're still in our everyday lives. You may live in our hearts now but so much of you is still living. I feel your comfort every time I'm scared and I ask for your help. How many times per day do I think "what would Nana have done" because children don't come with instruction manuals but I truly feel if they did you should have written it. You were just the best Mom and Nana ever. Giving 100% of yourself everyday completely selflessly. Not an easy job and you performed it gracefully.

So by now I know you're aware your second great grandchild was born. Jackson Brian is the cuddly chubby cherub of a baby boy I dreamt about. Big sister Savannah is his second Mommy and just adores him....it's so sweet. Speaking of Savannah can you believe she's 2 tomorrow?!? Time is racing and I want it to slow done. I'm trying desperately to live in the moment right now because things are as close to perfect as ever. My babies have forever changed me and for the better. Mom is the best Nana in the world..... just like you were and Dad the best Pappy!
Hope you caught the bubbles Savannah sent to heaven to kiss you on the nose!!!
I love you and miss you everyday
Shell xoxo

Nana I would do anything to see you and hug you just one more time... or 100 more times. To this day, it still doesn't feel real. I think about you every single day. I know you are watching over all of us smiling and wishing you could play the trick with us where you held a piece of gum and each hand and we had to pick. You always made it so we would win either way... because you always made sure we felt special and happy. I wish I could hold your hand again. I will never forget what it felt like to hold you hand. And I wish you could see your incredible great granddaughter. You would love her so much, like we all do.
I love you with every ounce of me and I know I will see you again some day.

Hi Nan,
I often dream of you and wake up the next morning missing you more than ever..... Can you believe Savannah is 10 months already. I feel like she literally grows overnight. There's not a day that goes by where I don't stop and think of how amazing you were to raise 6 babies!!!! However I understand why.... Motherhood is a blessing. It's what life is all about. I feel your spirit in myself as I embrace every second of her little life. I only wish you could physically be here to hug her, and selfishly me. I miss you so very much and I hope I'm making you proud up there. I never let Savannah's arms get chilly .
I love you Nan- Michelle

Nana,

You always made me feel like there was not a thing wrong in the world when I was around you. You were the most kindhearted person I have ever met. Every grandchild was your favorite grandchild. Every child was your favorite child. You always asked me about my grades and I know you were watching over me when I graduated college last week. I couldn't have done it without you. I promise that your chicken parm recipe will live on forever. I miss you and love you.
