ADELLE ZIMBEL Obituary

ZIMBEL, Adelle Passed away peacefully at her home at Newbridge on the Charles on Monday, August 18, 2025, just shy of 100 years old. A long-time resident of Newton, Adelle lived a life marked by deeply held values, a strong sense of dignity, and a feisty determination. Adelle was a respected and beloved matron of her extended family and was cherished by her many lifelong friends. Her home was a haven of connection and joy for family, neighbors, and friends. Her most precious moments were those spent surrounded by the people she loved, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A passionate educator, Adelle dedicated her life to the growth and development of children. Throughout her career, she served as a nursery school director, a special education teacher, and later, an ESL teacher to new adult immigrants. She continued her own education throughout her life, always striving to deepen her knowledge and better serve others. Adelle was the beloved wife of the late Norman Zimbel and a devoted mother to Ellen Rabina (Mickey), Steven Zimbel (Vianna), and Marcy Vogel (Tom). She was the cherished grandmother of Josh, Danielle, Talya, Becky, Ben, Alex, and Jon, and the dearly loved great-grandmother of Jared, Izzy, Noa, Gil, Lee, Alice, Jacob, Nathaniel, Oliver, Oscar, Eli, and Rafael.
