ADRIENNE ROBINSON Obituary

ROBINSON, Adrienne Gail Of Brookline, died on August 29th, after a brief illness, with her children by her side. She was 84. Adrienne saw and engaged with the world and her communities through art. She taught art at the Winsor School in Boston from 1981 to 2004. Her work was shown around New England. She illustrated children's books, a book of poetry, and a book of creation myths from around the world. Daughter of Miriam and Herb Robinson; and sister of Stuart Robinson, she was born in Newton but grew up in Los Angeles. She studied art in Oakland, CA, and lived in Berkeley, CA, married Roger Brown and later Martin Lowenthal, then moved to Newton in 1970, where Adrienne lived until 2018. Although both marriages ended, she brought into the world and became a wonderful mother to Kevin, Jen, and Micah, then grandmother to Westin, Calder, and Anais. She will be remembered for her creative and generous spirit, her funny and loving disposition, her deep and enduring friendships, as well as for her timeless beauty. A Celebration of her Life will be held on October 21. For details, contact [email protected]
