ALAN L. BALTER

BALTER, Alan L. Of Boston, MA, died peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday, March 19th, after a long battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Archie E. Balter and the late Ethel Stromberg Balter of Newton. Alan was born May 8th, 1929 in Boston. He graduated from Newton High School and Syracuse University. He was an Investment Broker and most recently worked for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is survived by his wife Maureen (Barry) Balter of Boston. He also leaves his brother Bruce R. Balter and wife Marcy of Weston, MA, nephews Brad Balter and wife Laura, and Dave Balter and wife Beth, great nieces Stella, Annabel and Sophie and great nephew, Jake. He is also survived by his devoted care-giving friends, Kurt Galatas and Denise Kallis. A private Remembrance Gathering of family and friends will be held in his memory.
