Mr. Paradiso,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation-and especially for volunteering your time at the USS Cassin Young at the Charlestown Navy Yard educating future generations of Americans of the sacrifices made by you and your fellow Servicemen during the War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I am so sad for your loss. I met and spoke to Al several times when I stopped to see my husband Frank, at his morning coffee spot, in Stoneham. Al will be greatly missed by his friends that gathered for coffee and conversation, each morning at Dunkin Donuts.
I am praying that God will give you and your family inner strength at this time.
In sympathy,

Richard Paradiso

I will miss my cousin, Al. He was a model of a man:Proud WWII Navy Destroyer Vet, Loving Husband and Father. I will never forget the kindness he showed to me during his dating days with Connie. They took me (a teenager) with them on many an outing, and made me feel welcome. When I was dating, they welcomed Gayle and I into their home
May he rest in peace!

The entire Volunteer crew will miss this quiet gentle soul. Al spent many hours with each of us sharing his stories and preserving the greatest museum ship in the world.
A fighting ship is made up of many components, Volunteers like Al are the heart and soul of it. We will miss you AL, Steve Briand, USS Cassin Young Volunteer Liaison

Al, coffee at Dunkin on Main Street will never be the same again. The fun and arguing will be far diminished without your presence. We'll keep a seat open in the observance of your absence.
