HELLEBERG, Alfred F.
Alfred F. Helleberg died April 29, 2016 in Stuart, FL. He was born in Columbus, NE, and lived in Stuart for 30 years, coming from State College, PA. Mr. Helleberg was a 1947 graduate of the University of Nebraska. He was employed for 15 years as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation at locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. He thereafter was for 20 years vice president of Commercial Printing, Inc. and president of Commercial Litho Products, Inc. of State College, PA. Following retirement he served as a security consultant for several Federal agencies and as the executive director of the Treasure Coast chapter of the National Pool and Spa Association. Mr. Helleberg served for two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, Miles Grant Country Club, Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, Elks Club, and the American Legion. Preceding in death were Mr. Helleberg's wife of 55 years, Jean Helleberg and daughter, Meredith Helleberg Fields. Survivors include his son, Eric Helleberg of Bridgton, ME, two grandchildren and beloved companion Ruth Lossman.
