ALFRED LEGELIS

LEGELIS, Alfred Alfred Legelis of Singer Island, FL passed away on March 31st, 2024, age 93 after a brief illness. Born 'Elias' to John and Frossa Legelis in Boston MA, 'Al' proudly embodied the American experience while embracing his Greek heritage. He graduated from Boston Latin '48, Bates College '52, Boston University School of Law '57, and served his country in the US Army during the Korean war, stationed in Munich, Germany. A loving husband to Despina (Hadjiyannis) for 63 years, proud father to John Alfred and wife Kimberly of Gloucester, MA, and Stephanie Catherine and husband Voislav Damevski of Palm Beach, FL, and doting 'Papou' to Cynthia Frances and John Alfred, Jr. He loved the sun, sea, friends, food, ice cream, and above all, his family. A resident of Dover, MA for almost 50 years and a practicing attorney in Boston and Dover for over 40 years, Al was an active Legionnaire, Mason, and supporter of many charitable and education organizations. A private service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to The Home For Little Wanderers in Boston, MA.
