ALICE G. O'NEIL

O'NEIL, Alice G. (Lehan) Of Braintree, affectionately known as G.G., of Braintree and Brewster, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with breast cancer. Alice was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" O'Neil; she was the caring and loving mother of Marianne McGanty and her significant other Paul Desmond. She is the loving grandmother of Kate Hupe and her husband Josh Hupe, Beth Kennedy and her husband, Matt Kennedy. She was the beloved grandmother of the late Ryan T. McGanty. She is the cherished great grandmother of Matty, Mikayla, Gabby and Sophie. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Alice was born and raised in South Boston. She retired from Boston Edison Company. She traveled between Brewster and Lady Lake, Florida for many years. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She was a huge Patriots and Red Sox fan. She will be deeply missed. Visiting hours at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE, on Tuesday, December 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. There will be a gathering at the Funeral Home Wednesday, December 21st at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree Highlands, at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
