Alice Thompson Obituary

Of Chestnut Hill passed away on June 30, 2008 at the age of 82. Alice was born on September 19, 1925 in Lakehurst, New Jersey. She was a long-time resident of Chestnut Hill and lived there for over 50 years. She was very active in her community and devoted to her family. She served as a Trustee for The Boston Hospital for Women, now known as Brigham and Women's Hospital, and volunteered at its Gift Shop for many years. She was dedicated to the preservation of historic homes and was a committee member for the Chestnut Hill Historic Society. She was also a member of The Country Club of Brookline. Alice was the wife of the late Peter Hunter Thompson, Jr. She is survived by her five children: Nancy Jubitz of Portland, Oregon, Katherine Otte of Houston, Texas, Peter H. Thompson, III of Tampa, Florida, Robert W. Thompson of Gresham, Oregon and David R. Thompson of Burlington, Vermont. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wed., July 9, at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Redeemer, 379 Hammond St., CHESTNUT HILL, MA.
