Well "MA" that bittersweet day is here. I was thinking of this day in October, mostly as relating to your family and their emotions. "Bitter" because of the emptiness/sadness of you not being here physically and "Sweet" because of all the individual memories you left behind for all of us. But we use those memories for strength because we have to go on, don't we?. With the holidays approaching it is even more emotional for your loved ones. I fear i will be in that same boat soon and hope i can also draw strength from my memories. Thank you again for always treating me so nice and making me laugh.

Hi Ma,
Every year on this day since you went home to be with God, I set aside some extra time to remember just how blessed I was to have had you as my mother. How much you sacrificed and how proud you were of each and every one of your children, biological and adopted. You touched so many hearts. I often wonder if you realized just special you were and how much you meant to so many people. Every chance I get I let anyone who will listen know how loving, devoted and generous you were. No one who came to our home was sent away hungry, without clothes, a few dollars in their pocket and most importantly a kind word from you. On occasion you would even throw in a joke or two. You were and always will be the most amazing woman I will have ever known.
