ALLEN GOLDSTEIN Obituary

GOLDSTEIN, Allen Malcolm Allen M. Goldstein (81) of Falmouth, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Dorchester, Allen was the proud son of Samuel and Celia (Palatnick) Goldstein. Along with his sister Frances, he grew up in Milton, where he shone as a standout athlete in football at Milton High School, embodying the spirit of grit, determination, and hard work, which he exemplified his entire life. Allen married his beloved wife, Mary (Goldfine) Goldstein, who predeceased him in 2017. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Framingham, raising their two daughters, Lee and Dana, in an environment filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Lee Sternburg, now residing in Mansfield, with her husband Andrew and daughters Hannah and Samantha; and Dana Elkhoury, living in Walpole, with her husband Gaby and son Jonathan; continue to carry forward his legacy of kindness and family devotion. Allen was always an entrepreneur at heart, having owned several Boston taxicab medallions, and starting and operating many successful businesses in the taxicab and auto rental industries as well as in residential real estate investment. Allen's passion for sports was unmatched. A season ticket holder for the Boston Red Sox for over 40 years, he lived and breathed the excitement of the game. Whether it was cheering from the stands of Fenway Park or making the occasional sports bet, Allen embraced every moment with enthusiasm. In recent years, Allen found joy in the simpler pleasures of life. His summers were spent hosting barbecues, enjoying dinners at his favorite spots on the Cape, and relishing time with his family at the pool and pond at his Falmouth home. These moments, filled with laughter and good food, were some of his greatest joys. Allen is fondly remembered as a man of great humor, and immense love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his three grandchildren and numerous adoring family members, and a circle of great friends. His recent years were brightened by his dear companion, Bella Jacob, who, along with all who knew him, will miss his vibrant spirit and heartfelt smile. As we say goodbye to Allen M. Goldstein, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life filled with passion, joy, and an unyielding commitment to those he loved. His story is a testament to the beauty of a life dedicated to family and friends. Allen's memory will forever inspire us to cherish our moments together, supporting each other with the same generosity and love he showed each day of his life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10am at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. I am so sorry to hear the recent passing of your dad. I met your dad through his dear friend Tommy Smith back in 1998. I enjoyed golfing with them and Jack Donegan over the years. I was there when he dedicated the bench in Tommy's name. I enjoyed meeting your mom and their friends at the community golf tourney each year. Your dad had a lot to say but most importantly was what he said about how proud he was of his daughters and their accomplishments over the years. He was always there if you needed help or just to listen. I will miss my friend and his countless stories and laughter. Please let me know of any celebration that may take place in your dad's honor. God Bless All of you in this most difficult time. May God hold you close and bless you with much needed peace.
Love,
Billy

Allen you will be missed, thinking about you and a story you loved to tell, the time you met up with me ( my sister and son came along) after Covid when we were getting ready to reopen and you needed to get a key to me, you took us to dinner at Yarmouth House ( so good) you asked Phillip what he wanted just as the waitress walked by with a tray of food, he said, " oh I want that!" You said "the lobster or the steak?" And he said" both", you got the biggest laugh out of that, you were so generous to all, you will be missed! Susan & Phillip
