Thanks to all that have posted here to send their love and support to Allison and our family. It has been over a year now and with Easter here, we always loved to follow Allie and our other kids around the house watching them search for their baskets. Her innocent life is gone, but we will remember and love Allison forever.

Thank you all,
Love, Dan, Maureen, Katherine and Ryan

I am so glad that you listened to God and spoke to Dan. We need more people like you who can hear the Lord calling us even if it is to comfort someone, smile at someone, tell someone that we will pray for them. You have made the world a better place.
I am the spiritual directo for a women's retreat called
Crhp in our parish. The team will be meeting
Wednesday as we prepare to put on the retreat in mid February. We will be praying for all those parents who have lost children and all those children who have lost parents. We will keep maureen dan and you in our prayers. God bless you.

January 20, 2013

dear Dan maureen and family,
I met dan tonight comming out of church. I am a parishioner and don't know your family . as I saw Dan comming out of mass tonight looking sad God spoke to me and something told me to intervene even though I didn't know him , never saw him I was moved
to ask him if he was ok . it was then he told me it was the one year anniversary of his daughters death. I wanted to write to you and your family and express my sincere sympathies , I am a mom and know the heartache of losing a child so this touched me . I know it takes many years for the pain to subside but I also know great love from God I wish for God to continue to bless you and your family . I opened up the guest book with a year subscription as my heart broke when I saw it had expired . I hope the opening of this will somehow remind you her love goes on .God Bless you

We only met you when you were in your mother's womb on a visit to Milwaukee all those years ago. Time has passed so quickly. We watched you grow from afar. You're a perfect angel too good for this world, joining God your father earlier than the rest of us for a mission beyond our imagination. Your family and we are so proud of your bravery and the love and moments you blessed us all with in your brief time on this planet. ~ Love always, cousin Zoey & aunt Kris

God bless the family of Allison , though I did not know Allison as a resident of hopkinton and a mother of two daughters my prayers are with you and I wish for you to be comforted with God's love at this time . some words that comforted me when my son died .
little angels
when God calls litte children to dwell with him above .
we mortals sometimes question the wisdom of his love .
for no heartache compares with the death of one small child
who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild .
perhaps God tires of calling , the aged to his fold , so he picks a rosebud
before it can grow old .
God knows how much we need them, and so he takes but few
to make the land of heaven, more beautiful to view .
believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try.
the saddest word mankind knows will always be "goodbye"
so when a little child departs,
we who are left behind must realize God loves children, and angels are hard to find. God Bless you

I do not know your family but I am a mother of two. I am so sorry for your loss.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Allie;
God was calling you home. He needed another angel to help poor out the rain.
Tears have fallen, hearts where shattered, but it was time for you to fly home.
Your loved ones came to say their last goodbyes, to tell you they loved you, and that you will be forever missed.
As your heart beat stopped, and your eyes slowly closed, God took his angel home...

I can't think of the right words to tell you how saddend I am to here about Allie. I fell in love with her the instant I met her at the hospital. She was so sweet, beautiful, so strong, so caring and talented. She fought this tumor without one complaint. She was worried about others instead of herself. She always had a smile on her beautiful face. Allie will always be in my heart and never forgotten. I truley loved her and was excited to see her everyday she was in hospital. I loved taking her to gift shop to have her pick out a gift. But, instead she always wanted to get her mom a gift. Loved how her face would bright up with big Hersey bars. Loved our walks outside in the garden. She was the most special girl I have met. Dan and maureen, I know you know how blessed you are to be her parents but she truley was unbelievably a special girl. Thanks for letting me into her life.
