I have known Al Silk since 1963. He was a magnificent human being. I will miss him forever. But his soul stands by me always. Thank you Al for those wonderful times years ago. Jane Davis

Al was a terrific person. Exceedingly likeable, caring, and smart. We were doctoral students at Northwestern (he was a year behind me) and co-authored our first published article while we were in the program. Every time I saw Al, albeit infrequently, we had delightful conversations. I am truly saddened by his passing. He was one of nicest persons I have ever met.

I didn't know Al personally, but as a marketing professor, I knew his work, and it was always first-rate. My heartfelt condolences to you (Al's family members). I'm sure that he is greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to family and friends of Alvin Silk. I never met Al, but he was a very close friend with my husband George Cooper (aka Jeff Cooper), when they were in school together in Hamilton. I spoke with Al after my husband passed away and we had a nice chat. I was really hoping we could have met up these past couple of years, just to reminisce of those times long ago which they shared. My husband spoke highly of Al and was proud to have him as a friend. They met many times over the years including California when my husband started his acting career and Al was at MIT. I know he was a very special person who really carved out a successful life and was very highly regarded. Rest in peace Alvin

With sympathy to the family. Nothing in life prepares you for the death of a loved one and the profound sense of loss that is felt. That is a wonderful obituary and is well deserved. Blessings to all of you
