Alvin Wicks Obituary

84, Born in Cambridge on June 23, 1924. His family moved to St. John N.B. Canada where he graduated from High School. He was a long time resident of Watertown. Died on July 20, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Sheehan) Wicks. He married Agnes in 1980 and she died on Oct. 5, 1992. He is survived by his brother John Wicks and his wife Betty of Sherborn, his niece Ainslee Wicks of Dover, nephew Chris Wicks and his wife Judith of Middleboro and their son Cameron of Philadelphia and nephew John E. Campbell of Palm Springs CA. He was predeased by his sister Lois Campbell. Also survived by many friends. Graveside Service on Thursday at 10 A.M in St. Patricks Cemetery, Watertown with Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Visiting hours in the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mt. Auburn St. (Rt 16) Watertown on Wednesday 4-8 P.M. Late U.S. Army Veteran WWII serving from Africa to Berlin under War Hero Gen. Mark Clark and a Purple Heart Recipient. Retired employee White Motors and an avid Red Sox fan.
