JACKOBEK, Andrew It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrew B. Jackobek, a beloved member of our community, son of Benjamin Jackobek and Stephanie Halgas Jackobek. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rudy and Carl; and is survived by his loving sister, Louis Biggerstaff. He has been married to his devoted wife, Lynne Jackobek, since 1979. Their longstanding partnership reflects a deep commitment that has endured through both challenges and joyful times. Together, they raised Ryan and Braden, who are still residents in the town of North Andover and benefitted from his strong will and example. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin. His bichon frise, Maggie, also had a special place in his heart. He was an accomplished mechanical engineer graduating with a master's degree from MIT. He was proud of his published dissertation on fluid dynamics in nuclear reactors. He was employed at General Electric for his entire career, working on advanced engine cycle simulations and the application of jet turbine technology for both the FA-18 Hornet and the M1 Abrams tank. He will be remembered for his remarkable intellect, love for the Red Sox, amateur bowling prowess, including a 299 game (damn that 7 pin!), and the positive impact he had on those around him.
