ANN FESTA Obituary
Ann was a graduate of RHS class of 1970; she went on to Salem State to receive a degree in Education as well as her Master's. Ann taught many years in Revere Public schools before becoming an administrator at the Garfield School, from which she retired in 2010.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrating Ann's life on Friday, July 10th, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anthony's church, 250 Revere St., Revere, MA. Due to Covid-19, masks are required before entering the church and social distance guidelines and capacity limits are in force. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. Entombment will be private. I haven't lived in MA for some time, and I'm disappointed to only be learning about this now. But Mrs. Festa was undoubtedly the best grade school teacher I had growing up. I had her at Whelan and no one compared at Garfield either. She truly cared. I'll always remember the math competitions and the Frudruckers prizes. She was an X-Files fan and loved her Aruba trips and I admired her a great deal. She was very smart and she had a knack for bringing the best out of her students. Rest Easy Mrs. Festa.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ann's recent passing. As young children and as teenagers, she and I were the best of friends, and many fun times were spent in the Festa household. I have thought about Ann over the years and especially the mornings when her mom, Camille, would drive us to Revere High School because we would invariably miss the school bus! My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Ann's family and friends.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Ann's family for such a sad and shockingly unexpected loss. Ann was a tremendous asset to the community throughout her many years of dedicated service as an educator. She will be greatly missed.
