Dear Family and Friends of Sister Anne Hegarty,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Sr. Anne's passing. (She passed three days prior to my father.)
I had thought about Sr. Anne often in the last couple of years. I wish I would have visited with her. She was the best teacher I ever had - period. She was kind, intelligent, strict when she had to be, and always inspiring.
I have many fond memories of her, one of which was when she would read to us, usually on Fridays, and how she would make the book come to life. I also loved how she would double-underline the "e" in Anne and say, "Don't forget the e!"
I will keep Sr. Anne in my prayers. May God bless her and her family.
Most sincerely,
Susan Anderson Catchpole

Sister Ann was the best teacher I ever known. She was caring and dedicated to her students. My daughter not just learned math with her, but also values and and organizational skills that has help her a fine young lady and successful in High School. She will be dearly missed.

So sorry to hear that Sister Anne has passed away. I have fond memories of my friend Linda and I staying after school at St.Peter's School and just hanging out with Sister Anne and Sister Joan Francis before my piano lessons at the convent. Rest In Peace.

I worked at St. Patrick School for over 30 years as the Adm. Asst. to the Principal. Sr. Anne taught my two grand daughters who came to school with me every day. She was a woman devoted to God and her profession. She was truly a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, and a Sister of Charity. We were blessed to have known her. We will all miss her. Rest in Peace, Sr. Anne.
