Arthur was such a wonderful human. I met him through the Boston theater community and relished all of our interactions. I wish his Facebook page had been left up as a memorial for us to go back to, look through photos and add more. He was beloved by all. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the death of Arthur. He was a kind and gentle person and also a great help when I was working on the Waldstein genealogy, my maternal grandmother's family. Truly, he was a genius and could remember all the lines in dramatic roles, including Shakespeare, wen he became a thespian his later life and received accolades for his performances. He will be missed by many. my condolences to all

Arthur had a big present in our lives. He and Andrea visited us, as the longtime refuseniks in Moscow and then when we came to Boston in 1989 they opened their arms and hearts to us .I feel so blessed to live next to such a generous and loving friend and his family. It is so hard to loose him. He always is in my heart.

We, immigrants from Russia, were very lucky enough to meet Arthur many years ago and get to know his friendliness, hospitality, artistry, sense of humor, love for life and ability to appreciate it. Now we feel a deep loss, but we know that this feeling is incomparably stronger among Arthur's relatives, whom he always loved and respected. Our deepest sympathy to Andrea, our condolences to all family and friends.

Arthur, who is a cousin, through my great grandmother Leah Waldstein. She came to England from Lithuania.
When I was in the US, I met Arthur and Nancy through the generous introduction of another cousin Marjorie Short.
Arthur was a warm host and a brilliant presence who I would surely have spent more time with had I lived in the US. His intelligence and passion for theatre was adorable. Arthur was an actor and, as a playwright-director, I was so pleased to find we shared the same passion for the stage. Sending love to his family.
Please be in touch should you ever need to discover a Waldstein cousin.
