DAVID, August F. "Gus" Of Dedham, on November 26, 2022. Gus passed peacefully at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eileen "Marie" David of Dedham; his son, Stephen A. David of South Boston; Pamela A. Welch and her husband John of Westwood; and grandson Jonathan "Jack" Welch of Westwood. Gus was predeceased by his daughter, Lynn M. David. He also leaves behind many relatives and dear friends. Gus served for 32 years on the Dedham Fire Department and was a well-known builder in the Dedham area. He loved his family, spending time in Harwich and traveling the world with Marie. He enjoyed attending Jack's sporting events and their time playing golf. Gus loved his dogs and all Boston sports. His sense of humor was infectious for everyone he met. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and jokes. Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty and Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DADHAM, on Friday, December 2 from 10:00-11:30 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. A private funeral service for family will follow.
