As a child growing up in Roxbury’s Warren Gardens she was my next door neighbor and basically embraced me as her own. I remember the Cape Verdean dishes she cooked as well as her taking me on trips down Wareham and Connecticut for family gatherings. I enjoyed watching her play tennis as well as her teaching me the game in which I’m a true fan of tennis to this day. She taught me Cape Verdean history and culture and the importance of education, sports and arts. Always will be remembered as a strong educated single mother raising and investing into her children to be successful.

Rest In Peace Mrs.Beach. My condolences love and respect to you and your family. Haven't seen you in 35+ years and as a child I was your next door neighbor for many years, many sleepovers and introduced me to tennis and Cape Verdean dishes. You and your family inspired me in so many ways as a child that those memories will stay with me forever.
