LEONE, Barbara J. Of Woburn, March 6, 2026, after a long illness. Barbara was born in Waltham, MA and graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1984. She continued her education at Framingham State Univ., with a BA in English and Simmons College, with an MS in Library Science. She was a long-term employee of Northrup Grumman, working as a research librarian. Barbara was loved by all who came in contact with her, a good and loyal friend to many. Barbara leaves her parents, Lawrence C. and Ethel (Hoyt) Leone; her brother, Lawrence J. Leone and his wife, Marcella (Lison) Leone; niece, Marina; and nephew, Michael. Her Wake will be held on Sunday, March 15, from 2-5pm, at Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St., NEWTON. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 16, at 10:30am, in Our Lady's Church, Newton. Barbara was a truly wonderful person who will be deeply missed. We worked together at Northrop Grumman, and from the very beginning, our time together was filled with laughter and genuine camaraderie. She brought joy to every project and made even the most challenging work a pleasure through her warmth.
After I left Northrop Grumman, we remained close, spending hours on the phone and continuing a friendship that meant so much to me. I am especially grateful for the time we were able to spend together outside of work, both in Philadelphia and Washington, DC. I will always cherish the time we shared.

Barbara always had a way to make you feel so special. It was her gift. We always had so much fun when we got together whether it was a trip to NYC or just meeting for dinner or coffee. Rest easy Barbara......I will miss you.
