Barbara McGonagle

McGonagle, Barbara (Connor) 88, of Medford, December 2nd. Beloved wife of the late Francis "Frank" McGonagle. Mother of Patricia DiPietro and her husband Phil of Stoneham, Paul McGonagle and his wife Janet of Bedford, Joan Holman and her husband Chuck of North Andover and Michael McGonagle and his wife Pat of Billerica. Sister of the late Helen Murphy, Roberta Fahey and Gail, Thomas and Lenora "Sally" Connor. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a resident of Medford for most of her life. She is a graduate of Girls Catholic High School, Class of 1945. As a young woman she worked at the Department of the United States Treasury in Washington, DC. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Mother's Club in Medford and has been a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden for many years. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday Dec. 7th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday Dec. 6th from 2-6 PM.
