BARBARA RAMSEY

1926 - 2021

RAMSEY, Barbara (Barker) Age 95, of Marblehead, MA, died in her sleep on December 1, 2021. Barbara was the widow of the Rev. Canon John R. Ramsey. She is survived by her two daughters, Diana Potts Beck of Stonington, CT and Deborah Potts Greenhalgh of Faversham, UK; grandmother of five and great- grandmother of one. She is also survived by her two step-sons, Peter Ramsey of Weston, MA and Christopher Ramsey of Albany, NY. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 19, 1926 and was a graduate from Wellesley College, class of '48. She was an educator and administrator in New York City, eventually relocating to Marblehead in 1988 where she was active in the Episcopal church serving for many years as co-chair of the Volunteers for Mission for the Diocese of Massachusetts. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 26 Pleasant Street, Marblehead on Saturday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's.
