My heart completely sank when I learned of Barry's passing. The world truly lost a wonderful person. I did not know Barry for long, but I will never forget the times I did get to spend with him and how welcomed he made me feel. My deepest sympathies to his family & loved ones.

Patty, Stephanie, Frank and everyone,
So sorry. Barry left us way to early. I will be thinking of all of you and wishing you well. It was nice to read the messages from all over. Andrew was very close and talked about Barry often. I went with Andrew and saw Barry this summer at his house on the hill. The three of us rested in the yard and looked out into the sun. We relaxed and talked about the yard, the house and laughed and smiled a bit. I wish I saw him more often but I do have that day and it makes me happy to think back at his easy smile. Love Always.

I was so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. My memories of him are of fun loving and caring friend, neighbor and classmate. We had at a lot of laugh's growing up across the street from one another. I especially remember his love of music. My sincerest condolences to all of the Powers family. With love, Bridget.

Barry was the toughest and kindest guy I knew. He always used his powers for good and treated me like a brother. He taught me to dance. To play basket ball. To play cards. To never start trouble. And to be a good man. He also took me to see my first R rated movie when I was 12, Saturday Night Fever. He was a vital part of my life both at East Boston Camps and at Saint Lazarus. I will miss him and am filled with sadness at his passing. I will carry his good energy in me. My condolonces to his sister and mother.

I truly felt terrible upon hearing of Barry's passing. He was a good friend. I'm sorry to have fallen out of touch over the years. I ran into him while shopping one day a couple of years back and caught up with him a bit. I will miss him. Rest well my friend. I will see you on the other side.
