Maureen, Tommy, Danny and the rest of the "crew"...my heart goes out to all of you for the loss of Dad and Mom in February. My family saw the notices in paper and we were devastated. We often think of the McCarty's and have fond memories of both Mom and Dad. Wonderful parents...Please accept our deepest sympathies for all of you. May Ginny and Bernie both rest in peace. Bernie was always a joy to be with. He was smart, humorous, a true gentleman, and, easy to see, a wonderful husband and father.
Now, he is with his wife Ginny again, both saints in heaven.

My Dear Friends Ellen, Kevin, Andy, and all the McCarty Family,

I am shocked and simply do not have the words to express how deeply sorry I am to hear of yet another loss for your family.
Please know that I am here for all of you during this very difficult time.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting your Dad, but certainly have enjoyed getting to know him through the wonderful stories each of you have shared with me.

To "all" of the McCarty family:
"Bernie" will be greatly missed. It was an honor to know him in the short time I knew him. He was a very special person with an enormous heart and sense of humor. I wish all of you well... God bless!

the McCartys:

You are all in our thoughts and prayers at a time like this. Not one, but
two, of the most special of God's creations have been called home too soon.
Both devoted, loving parents who sacrificed so much to raise such wonderful
children. Our hearts go out to all of you.

I can't even begin to imagine the depth of your loss, and there are no
words that can adequately convey our sorrow and sympathy, but your parents
are together again forever, and they'll never again be separated. I can
only offer what I hope are some comforting thoughts to the family.

"The day which we fear as our last is but the birth of eternity." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca

"May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

May he rest in peace. He was a great father to all of you. May his
memory be perpetuated through all of us, when we remember his wit, and warm understanding, his peaceful nature which he shared with all who had the priviledge of being with him.

I have known Bernie since 2003. I manage the condominiums where he lived. He was on the Board of Trustees up unil this past November. He was a funny, kind spirited man who will be missed by all of us at Summer Hill.

As a husband, Bernie was loving; as a father - inspirational; grandfather - proud; citizen - selfless; engineer - professional; friend - dedicated. I was indeed fortunate to have known him and his truly remarkable family. His legacy is huge.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Bernie once while attending Sue and Steve's wedding. Ever since winning my heart that day, he would always ask Sue when they talked, "how's Buffy doing?" I was flattered by his thinking of me and touched by his concern for me. (Frankly, I think he had me confused with somebody else.) I loved him for it. Buddy and I are deeply saddened by his passing and want the McCarty's to know we hold them close to our hearts and in our thoughts and prayers. How's heaven Bernie?

I once was helping out the McCarty Brothers clear a garden. Bernie as usual was over seeing the project. As he shot his humurous jabs at everyone I reminded him "I don't have to take this I can go home!" To which his response was "Not until your work is DONE."
Well Bernie can rest assured his work here is done.
Thanks for every thing you will be missed.
