NUNZIATO, Carmen Of Somerville October 7, 2010. Beloved husband of Anna (Ferranti). Loving and devoted father of Richard P. and his wife Diane of Ipswich, Joanne M. Taddeo and her husband Leonard J. and Diane C. Spingel all of Somerville. Brother of Lucia "Dolly" Pondelli and her late husband Albert J., John Nunziato and his wife Eunice and the late Anthony Nunziato and his surviving wife Edith and the late Joseph Nunziato, Salvatore Nunziato and his wife Midge. Brother in law of Josephine Nelson. Beloved Grandpaof Alison Nunziato, Nicole and Michael Taddeo and his fiancée Kristen, Brandon and Corey Spingel. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) SOMERVILLE, Wednesday morning at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville at 10am. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8pm. To Carmen's family - I want you to know that Carmen had a smile that lit up the hallways of Somerville High when he was on duty there. When he left, it was like the lights went dim. He was a very kind man, I wish you well in the days ahead.

My prayers go out to all of his family and I will say a prayer for him. The good Lord will take great care of a great guy. It is a big loss. He always had a great sense of humor and will be missed.

Our whole family is saddened by the loss of our good friend and neighbor.

Carmen was always so kind and caring with our little girls, Lily and Sylvia, who looked forward to seeing him on the porch with Anna or meeting up in Davis Square.

He will be missed by everyone.

Mrs. A Nunziato, Richie & Diane and other members of the family. We are so sorry to hear of your father Carmen's passing.
It made me reflect back to 1971 when your Dad was the first Engineer to work with Switching in Yard 21. He gave me good advice and have used it in my many years of service.
He will be missed by many that have known to love him over the years.
He will be in our prayers...

Carmen was as nice and friendly a person as I've ever known; by all accounts he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and as loyal and generous a neighbor as anyone could hope to have. For those of us who lived on Park Avenue and the surrounding streets he was our neighborhoods ambassador, always ready to greet the neighbors and passers by, young and old, with a kind word and warm smile. God Bless you Carmen, you will be missed and may you rest in peace.

It has always been a pleasure meeting and chatting with Carmen over these many years. My wife and I knew we could count on seeing him each year at the Thanksgiving Day football game at Dilboy field. It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Carmens passing.I want his family to know my heart is truly saddend. Carmen has always been so kind and considerate. Dear Ann: I was so sorry to learn of Carmen's passing. A parent of one of my children's friends is being waked at Doherty's and as we were checking times, I saw Carmen's obituary.
