CAROL CALLAHAN Obituary

CALLAHAN, Carol It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol Callahan. She graced this world for 61 years and was called home on October 30, 2025. Carol was known for her gentle presence and a heart that embraced life's simplest joys, she endeavored to spread kindness to all within her reach. She was born in Framingham, the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Sullivan) Callahan. Carol was a proud alumna of Framingham South High School's class of 1981 and earned her Bachelor's degree from Ashford University, now University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) where her approachable demeanor, warm smile, and generous spirit made her a friend to many. She devoted her professional life to Medi-Tech International, now Marketlab, spanning several decades where she excelled in sales and became a respected figure in her field. Carol's soul was as bright as the shores she adored, especially on Cape Cod beaches and the hiking trails she would tread with affection. For her, those were life's quiet moments that brought her happiness. Together, she and James enjoyed traveling, swimming, feeding animals, electric biking or just simply having coffee or watching the sunset with a fine wine in hand. Carol leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her sister, Jean Callahan and her husband, Keith Kubacki of Millis, her brother, Richard Callahan and his wife, Paula of Westborough and her devoted partner of many years, James Finn. She also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Justyn, Brenden, Owen, Amy, Sean and Kody. We invite her beloved family and friends to gather in unity to celebrate her Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 863 Worcester Road (Rt. 9) at Framingham Centre. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Brezniak Funeral Directors of NEWTON.

Such a good friend. You will be missed. We had some good adventures. Especially the summer of the Newport Rental.

To Jean, Richard, Paula, Keith, James, and all who loved Carol - your tribute today was truly beautiful. Richard´s words captured her so perfectly - her kindness, her laughter, her love for the Cape, and the gentle way she made everyone feel at ease. I know how deeply she was loved and how much she gave to those around her. Her light and warmth will stay with all of you always, in every small moment of peace and beauty she so cherished.

With heartfelt sympathy and love,
Janice, Stephen, and Taylor McCourt

I was lucky enough to have a touching and sincere conversation w Carol at our last Framingham HS reunion ..i have a fuzzy recollection of one skip day drinking beers w some fellow "deviants" at her home.
At the reunion I had a chance to talk w her about her career and what she was doing.. I so admired her sense of style and lovely way of looking professional .

I asked her about her drive and motivation in life. She was very straight forward and said it was her hard upbringing. She "knew she never wanted to be poor".
She went on to share in HS She remembered after a traumatic divorce situation w an aunt having the responsibility placed on her..to help her family by getting her Aunts children ready for school clothed..fed?which made her late to HS.

Carol was in my home room. And I think I remember this exact instance..The teacher chastised her
Called her out in front of all of us.. calling her selfish for being late .. she stayed quiet.

She told me that she eventually fessed up to the real reason she was often tardy of late...

the teacher was remorseful. But it remained a haunting echo.. I told her she is probably a life lesson to not judge and be more empathetic to that teachers lessons in life.. & I so admired her strength and abilities to channel her emotions propelling herself forward.
I'm so very sad to see this notice of her passing. I will never forget her.
My condolences to her family.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Hillman
