CAROLINE AMORY HUNNEWELL BLAKE

BLAKE, Caroline Amory Hunnewell Is survived by four children: Caroline H.B Whitney of Cambridge, MA, Francis Blake and Sandi of Big Timber, MT, Ruth F.B. Munson of Stratford, CT, John W. Blake and Jennifer of Dover, MA, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is a graduate of the The Winsor School and Radcliffe College. On September 26, 1936, she married Francis Blake of Weston, who died on August 24, 1982. They lived in Weston until 1949, then moved to Dover. Between 1958-1978, they lived in Geneva and London before returning home to Dover. She was a nurse's aide in World War II, a long time volunteer at the Arnold Arboretum and Massachusetts General Hospital. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 1 at 2:30 pm at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 18 Springdale Ave., Dover Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in her memory, to the Isabella Welles Hunnewell Internship Program at the Arnold Arboretum, 128 Arborway, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
