I was very saddened to hear of Cathy's passing. I grew up in Wellesley and also worked with her at Lord & Taylor and we had many good times rembering the "good ol days" When I was in the area I would always stop by to see her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, she was a wonderful person.

Lorraine....You may not remember me and maybe you will...we worked together many years ago at Hoffman's, Rt 9.. I did not know your daughter but by reading some of the guest book condolences sounds like she was a much loved and special person in the hearts of many. I just want to extend my codolences to you and your family and hope you find peace and comfort in your heart at this difficult and sad time.

My heart is sadden by the news of Cathy's passing. Her and I had so much fun working together at L&T.

I have a pink, stuffed, handmade teddy bear with my name embroidered by hand on the front - this was made for and given to me by Cathy about 34 years ago when we both attended Wellesley High School. Cathy was a year ahead of me and kept her eye on me my first year at W.H.S. - I still have that teddy bear, look at it often and it always fills me with wonder at the generosity of that amazing young woman who cared so much about people at such a young age.

Cathy,
My counselor and then friend. You were the best. I cannot count how many times you made me laugh, so witty and a practical joker. We had so much fun. I always loved when you laughed so hard you cried. When times were serious you were there as well. I will miss you and carry you around in my heart forever. With Love,

I met Cathy the summer of 1980 at the Clara Barton Camp. Cathy had been a memeber of the camp family for years and this was my first encounter with the Barton Girls. The last day of camp Cathy gave me a print of An Old Irish Prayer in a small frame. She wrote a message on the back that identified the true kinship of the Barton Experience. I lost touch with Cathy many years ago, but her name often surfaced when a few of us met. 27 years later from starter job to school administration, the framed poem has had a place in my office. This morning I moved the poem to sit in front of me for awhile. Cathy, your spirit was genuine and will live on, your body will rest in peace.
