My first job out of Belmont Vocational High was with Roy as an electrical apprenice. We worked a couple of years wiring crazy places, such as with the B.R.A. in the West End. He sometimes hot wired me to get me going in the morings when I was half asleep on the job. I on the other hand had to call his house from the Bren-Len restaurant on Mondays to wake him up to come to work after going skiing/partying on weekends in NH.
Although I never became an electrician Roy was a great teacher and taught me to wire by the code. He did a great job and was proud of his work. Just thought I'd express my sympathy to you on your loss.

Dear Virg, Dad and all the Scammell siblings,
Sea Roy will be dearly missed. He left a wide wake from his boat projects and whenever we play in the Sloop du Jour on the cove, we will think joyfully of Sea Roy.

Dear Virginia, John and Sandi,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have many great memories from Karen telling C Roy stories, and I remember his wonderful woodworking projects. He leaves a great legacy.
