CHARLES WILLIAM "CHARLIE" ALBERT

ALBERT, Charles William "Charlie" Charlie, passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 86 in Rockland, Massachusetts. He was born on November 29, 1936 in Malden, Massachusetts. He raised his family in Hanson, MA with his wife, Lillian for 35 years. They also spent ten happy years in Florida before returning back to their home in Massachusetts. Charlie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and cherished member of his family. Charlie is survived by his two sons, Kevin and wife, Mary of Miami Beach FL and Daniel and wife, Dori of Andover. He was a proud grandfather to Kerri, Charlie, Max and Jack. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Celia; and also several nieces and nephews, who he was always proud of and spoke often about. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian who he was happily married to for 53 years; his brother, Joseph; his sister, MaryAlice (Polly) Patterson of Georgia; and his parents, Clarence and Mary (Flanagan). Charlie attended St. Joseph's in Wakefield for his primary education and later graduated from Malden Catholic High School. In the 1950s, he proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in Japan. After his military service, Charlie embarked on a successful career at Merriman (Litton Industries), where he worked as a credit manager for over 30 years. Charlie loved Scally caps, Canadiens hockey, his beagles, reading any and all newspapers, college hockey with Joe, Seinfeld, Connie's restaurant, Green Bay Packers, Dunkin donuts, his candy stash, note pads, breakfast with Ronnie, Johnny and Wayne, nightly news, his chair, Atlanta Braves, tea and cookie time with Lil, Ocean State Job lot, SiriusXM, Patsy's barbershop, family. Following Charlie's wishes, there will be no Wake or Funeral Services. Instead, he will be cremated and laid to rest in Fern Hill Cemetery, located in Hanson, Massachusetts, next to his beloved wife Lillian. The family plans to hold a Celebration of Charlie's Life in the spring of next year.
