I did not know Mr. Audet. I was five years old when D Day happened. I just want to thank him and all those who served so l could grow up in freedom. I will remember all those brave souls and pray future generations will understand the cost of freedom to them and their families. My sincerest condolences to the Audet family...AG

Sending our condolences on the passing of Mr. Audet. We learned of him, his passing, and his service to Country this afternoon during a radio broadcast. It brought a tear to our eyes as his service with the 509th was detailed, and we reflected on our own uncle Joseph Chevalier, a native of Chicopee Ma., who also served in the 509th PIB. Perhaps they knew each other. Joe spoke of the bravery, dedication and sacrifice of his fellow veterans. We know how proud you must be of Mr. Audet, another member of the Country´s greatest generation. Thank you sir.
