Of Lowell, entered into rest July 6, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus, aged 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Martha L. (Martin) Ginsburg, cherished father of Jane R. Ginsburg, brother-in-law of Janet Martin and Norma Martin, uncle to Ruth A. Ginsburg and Michael F. Ginsburg, great uncle to Elliot R. Ginsburg and Jillian A. Palash. Born in Lowell, January 22, 1927, a son of the late Dr. Harry N. and Anne (Segal) Ginsburg. A graduate of Lowell High School with the Class of 1945. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Providence College, a Master of Liberal Arts Degree and a Master's Degree in Education from Boston University. Mr. Ginsburg was a reservist in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1948 to 1950. He began his teaching career at Billerica High School where he taught history, and also taught at schools in New Jersey and New York, retiring in 1999. He was an avid reader, had a keen interest in Civil War history, and was a formidable opponent in checkers and scrabble. Like his wife Martha, he liked a good political discussion. A kind, generous person, Charles will always be remembered for his sharp intellect and love of family. Mr. Ginsburg's Graveside Service, with Military Honors, to be held Wednesday at 10:45 AM at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, Sharon, MA. Please omit flowers.
