Charles Lonergan Obituary

LONERGAN, Charles H. Age 85, of Norwell, formerly of Somerville died Thursday, March 25, 2010. He was the beloved husband of 56 years of Marjorie Y. (Young) and the loving father of David C. Lonergan of Quincy, and the late Stephen E. Lonergan. Charles was the brother of Joseph Lonergan of Arlington and the late Mildred Scullin, Bertha Buckley and Bernard and William Lonergan. Mr. Lonergan was a retired Accountant for Multisystems in Cambridge and Harbridge House in Boston. He was a veteran of World War II, US Army and a graduate of St. Clement School in Somerville and Boston College, Class of 1950. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 30th at 10 am in St. Helen Church, Washington St. (Rt. 53), Norwell. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 29 from 4:30-7:30 pm at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123 near State Police Barracks), Norwell Ctr. Interment Washington St. Cemetery, Norwell. If desired, donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Norwell VNA & Hospice, 91 Longwater Cir., Norwell, MA. 02061. Charlie enjoyed his life here on earth. I am sure he will find even greater enjoyment in the next world. He certainly deserves it.
