Gilbert, Christopher P. "Chris 61, of Main St. in Oxford, died suddenly on Sunday, October 12, 2014, in his home. He is survived by his fiancee, Cheryl A. Graham of Oxford; two sisters, Leah G. Lewis of West Newbury and Sarah Knowlton of Walpole; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 great nephews, 1 great niece; and his dog, Xena. He was born in Norwood, the son of the late Joseph E. and JoAnn (Scheele) Gilbert Jr., and lived in Dedham before moving to Oxford 18 years ago. Mr. Gilbert worked at FedEx Freight in Northboro. Previously, he worked at Polaroid and UMass Medical Center. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and participated in auto racing. Memorial calling hours are Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., OXFORD. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
