Chris worked here at Evergreen as our summer intern in 2003. I pushed the paperwork through the corp system to get him here and he brought a ray of sunshine into our trading room. He even covered me, the admin for the group, so I could go on vacation. Cweb will be remembered by us all forever. My sincere condolenses go out to his family for their great loss. Sincerely, Diane Pacitto, Evergreen Investments.

I met Chris last summer when I was about to embark on my Bike and Build trip. He made me feel so welcome when I didn't know one person I was going on the trip with. He made me feel comfortable at a time when I felt so nervous. He was one of the friendliest people I have ever met. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

The first time I met Chris was while riding in a car from Poughkeepsie to Vermont for a ski trip my freshman year at Vassar. I could tell within the first 10 minutes of the trip that Chris was a man with a genuine passion for life that few are lucky enough to possess. I will miss talking to him about our beloved Red Sox. His family has my deepest sympathies.

Chris was a great person who could always make me laugh. He brightened my experience at Vassar with his kindness and sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Although I hadn't seen Chris in a while, I had an email from him only weeks ago expressing that we should get together and catch up soon. I only wish I had had the chance.

The world has lost a genuine man and a good friend. A man who always knew how to do what was right and how to have fun doing it. His wonderful outlook on life was contagious and he easily inspired those who knew him, and will continue to do so. Chris, you will be sorely missed.

To the Webber family-

Chris had a great heart that he was always willing to share with others and an infectious smile that I will always remember. He was also the reason that I got interested in doing work with habitat and I travelled with him the New Orleans in January, a trip I'll never forget...he was so kind and hilariously funny....My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family from the bottom of my heart...

With love.

When I told my daughter that Chris had died, she exclaimed, "When I was young, he was the only one of my brother's friends who was nice to me!" What kind of commentary is that? The best! Unfailingly polite, always attentive to others – that's the way I will always think of Chris. He was a lovely person. My sympathy to Joan and Bill and Nick. Fondly, Cathy Shaer
