My sincerest condolences Jeannie & Nancy. Aunt Claire was a beautiful, elegant woman with a great laugh. I always loved seeing her. She always seemed to be smiling. I remember shortly after getting my driver's license, I was a little sad. I told her I always thought I would feel "grown up" or "different" once I passed that milestone. She told me, "All your life, you will be just you. The day you walk down the aisle, the day you have children, you will always be just who you are." Her wise words comforted me and have stayed with me all my life. Many years later, I decided to drive up to Boston one Sunday and my Mom and I drove to Castle Island to take a walk. Who did we see, but Aunt Claire & Uncle Buddy sitting on a bench under a tree. We had a lovely visit, for maybe an hour, and what started out as a lonely, melancholy day ended up with lots of smiles and laughs. May she rest in peace and may your memories of her comfort you through your loss.

It was my great privilege to know Claire during her years at Sophia Snow Place. She inspired us with her tenacity and good humor in the face of difficulty. And she always did so looking absolutely beautiful. And I loved to witness her love and devotion to family. The world has truly lost an amazing and beautiful soul. Much love and wishes for comfort and peace to Jeannie and all her family.
