CONSTANCE GRESSER

GRESSER, Constance 76, died peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013, surrounded with love from her family and many close friends. Raised in Oneonta, NY, and a Brookline resident since 1965, Connie was an avid gardener, and spent many years collecting, growing and loving the New England native wildflowers that grew in her backyard. She was also a longtime teacher in Brookline, guiding young children, and encouraging their intellectual curiosity as the director of Clinton Path Preschool. She retired in 1996. Of her many passions - children's literature, music, theater, museum-going, baseball, Dickens and Trollope - none was greater than spending time with family and friends. Her devotion to the lives of her children Hilary Cipullo, Edward Gresser and Benjamin Gresser, son-in-law Edward Cipullo, daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Siriporn Gresser, grandchildren William Gresser, Thomas Gresser, Edward Cipullo, Michael Gresser, and Cecilia Cipullo, brother William and sister-in-law Roseanne Pirone, the families of her nieces Patty Pirone and Kim Baskin and nephew Michael Pirone, as well as to her numerous close friends is her enduring gift and she will be dearly missed. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at the First Unitarian Society in Newton, 1326 Washington Street, West Newton, MA on Saturday, March 30th at 2:00 in the afternoon.
